High school Spanish teacher, Mr. Bruce Novotny, is always finding unique ways for his students to have a conversation in Spanish.
On this particular day, both Mr. Novotny and his senior and junior students were having a conversation in Spanish about his car–he explaining certain features and they asking questions. Each student was then asked to share information about their own car in the parking lot.
We were quite impressed, especially since they were talking as quickly as they would in English. And even though we didn’t understand (having taken French when we were in high school), we did walk away with an “adios” and felt quite proud of ourselves. Great job, students.
